Most Swiss banks use different rates for cash transactions (the banknote rate) and other transactions (the forex rate). You can request a detailed breakdown showing what transactions each rate is used for at many Swiss banks here (at the foot of the article).
Currency exchange brokers, wire trasfer services and peer-to-peer currency exchange platforms provide an alternative to banks - particularly if you have foreign currency bank accounts (EUR or USD) in which to receive the euros or dollars.
