Hi there,

Exchange traded funds (ETFs) are a form of mutual fund, and the same categories of fees of charges apply. The total expense ratio (TER) includes all ongoing administrative fees. Additionally, you may be charged a fee when you buy fund shares and when you sell fund shares.

The main difference between passively managed funds like ETFs and actively managed investment funds is that the administrative costs of ETFs are typically much lower. You can get more information in the moneyland.ch guide to passively managed funds vs. actively managed funds.

Best regards from Moneyguru
