Hey groovy people,

Does anyone know how much time I have to send in my medical bills to my Swiss health insurance company?

Is there a time limit on how soon I need to send bills in to the insurance in order for them to get paid?

The reason I am asking is that I found some old bills which I had misplaced ages ago, and together they come to almost 1000 francs. Can I send these in and get them covered?

Thanks everyone

Hi there,

You can claim benefits from a compulsory Swiss health insurance policy up to a maximum of 5 years after the covered incident occurs.

Even if you no longer work with the same health insurance company, you can still claim coverage at your previous insurer for medical expenses incurred while you were insured by them.

Best regards from Moneyguru
