We will be visiting South Africa in a few weeks and I am interested in knowing how much money we can carry with us. I don’t use credit cards and as far as I know my Postfinance debit card cannot be used in South Africa.
You can carry up to the equivalent of $10,000 in foreign currency into South Africa without a customs declaration. Local currency must be declared starting from ZAR 25,000.
