My brother stole my credit card and personal identification number (PIN) and took out a cash advance using the card. Can I still dispute the transaction?

Hi there,

As a general rule, allowing another person to access your PIN voids any claim to compensation for fraudulent transactions - particularly those made by that person.

However, some card issuers are more lenient than others, and you can try to file a fraudulent transaction claim. The chances of the card issuer refunding a fraudulent transaction when your PIN was used are low.

Best regards from Moneyguru
