When looking into investing in European countries I have come across the term UCITS fund more than once. What is a UCITS fund?

Hi there,

UCITS is the abbreviated form of "Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities". This label is given to funds which meet a set of unified standards set forth by the European Union (EU). Funds with the UCITS designation can be offered across EU member countries without having to be adjusted to meet the standards of each country.
