Global Employment Organization (GEO)

A global employment organization (GEO) is a company which operates employers of record (EORs) in multiple countries. GEOs assist companies looking to hire employees in countries other than their domicile. They do this by hiring employees on behalf of companies via their EORs.

By enlisting the services of a GEO, a company can avoid having to open subsidiaries in foreign countries in which it hires employees. Because EORs specialize in tax and compliance in their countries of domicile, using GEOs helps companies and their employees to avoid legal compliance issues.
