Choice of hospital and doctor:

Full coverage throughout Switzerland in the private departments of all listed hospitals with a service mandate and recognized tariff. Free choice of doctor. In addition to Swiss hospitals, KPT partner hospitals in Germany near the border are available for selection.

Notice period:

The insurer can terminate the contract at the latest 3 months before the end of the contract or calendar year.

Premiums and discounts:

Amount of premiums depends on various factors such as age, gender and place of residence. In case of co-payments (CHF 1000 to CHF 5000) discounts between 15 and 50 percent. Discount for a 3-year contract, for prepayment and for using the KPTnet customer portal (including free internet legal protection insurance).

Spa and convalescent therapy:

The insured persons receive CHF 60 per day for up to 42 days per 5 calendar years for spa therapies and CHF 60 per day for up to 30 days per calendar year for convalescent therapies.

Maternity:

Birth costs are covered throughout Switzerland in listed hospitals (private ward). For a birth at a birth centre: CHF 300 per day during max. 5 days. Waiting period: 270 days. CHF 1250 for an outpatient birth.

Rooming in:

Cost of accomodation for an accompanying person up to CHF 50 per day during a maximum of 14 days.

Home help:

CHF 50 per day (for a maximum of 60 consecutive days).

Home care:

Not specified.

Emergency transport costs:

Switzerland: Full coverage.

Abroad: Transport and rescue costs: CHF 6000 per event.

Search and rescue costs:

Up to CHF 20,000 per incident in Switzerland, up to CHF 6000 per incident abroad.

Repatriation:

No coverage.

Hospital abroad:

In case of acute illness or accident: Full coverage worldwide with the exception of USA and Canada. USA and Canada: maximum of CHF 100,000 per calendar year.

Rehabilitation stationary:

For a maximum of 60 days within 5 years: full coverage.

Psychiatry:

For a maximum of 720 days: contribution to costs according to the insured ward.

Travel and vacation insurance included.
Compensation of CHF 125 per day if treated in general ward (up to CHF 1250 per year).
