Banking package for individuals

General information:

Banking package of Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE). Provides customers with private account, savings account, Debit Mastercard, online and mobile banking and credit card.
The Debit Mastercard is free of charge up to the age of 25.
Transactions abroad with the Debit Mastercard: 1.25% of the amount, minimum CHF 1 (for customers until age 25: 0.75% of the amount, minimum CHF 0.50).

For individuals from the age of 26.

Package / account management fee:

The account management costs CHF 48.00 per year.

Private account interest rate:

0% per year.

Account opening:

The account opening is free of charge.

Closing of account:

The closing of account is free of charge.

Annual account closure:

The annual account closure is free of charge.

Statements of account:

The monthly statements of account by mail are subject to charges.

Incoming payment:

Incoming payment in CHF are free of charge.

Outgoing payment (Switzerland):

Electronic payment orders in CHF are free of charge.

SEPA payment:

Fee of CHF 1.00 per electronic SEPA payment order in EUR.

Non-SEPA payment (abroad):

Fee of CHF 5.00 per electronic non-SEPA payment order in foreign currency.

Direct debit (LSV) Switzerland:

Electronic payment orders by direct debit (LSV) within Switzerland are free of charge.

Standing order Switzerland:

Electronic standing orders in CHF within Switzerland are free charge.

Annual fee debit card:

Debit card: In the first year, there is no annual fee to pay. In the subsequent years, the annual fee is CHF 50.00.

Purchase Switzerland:

Debit card: Purchases in Switzerland in CHF are free of charge.

Purchase abroad:

Debit card: For purchases in foreign currencies, there is a fee of 1.25% of the purchase amount with a minimum of CHF 1.00.

Cash withdrawal Switzerland:

Debit card:
Cash withdrawals in CHF at ATMs of the same bank in Switzerland are free of charge.
For cash withdrawals in CHF at ATMs of other banks in Switzerland, there is a fee of CHF 2.00 per withdrawal.

Cash withdrawal abroad:

Debit card:
Per cash withdrawal abroad, there is a fee of CHF 5.00.

Savings account interest rate:

0.01% per year (with a mortgage, BCGE shares, pillar 3a account etc. up to 1.4% per year).

withdrawals:

Withdrawals up to CHF 20,000.00 per month are allowed without notice. There is a notice period of one month for higher amounts.

Credit card:

Standard credit card (Mastercard or Visa).
Free of charge up to the age of 25.
From the age of 26: free of charge in the 1st year, CHF 50 in subsequent years.

Purchase abroad in foreign curency:

For purchases abroad or online in foreign currencies there is an administrative fee of 1.75% of the purchase amount.

Reward program:

Surprize bonus program by Viseca for credit cards (1 point per CHF 1 turnover, 10,000 welcome points).

Pillar 3a account
interest rate:

0.15% per year.

Termination of banking relationship:

The termination of the banking relationship is free of charge.
