Block Explorer

In cryptocurrency terms, a block explorer is an application which allows users to access a blockchain and view transactions.

All data transactions on a blockchain are permanently recorded on the blockchain’s distributed ledger. By using a block explorer, you can find detailed information about each transaction. Typically, information includes the addresses of the sender’s and recipient’s wallets, the size of the transaction, and the size of the mining fee levied on the transaction (see: bitcoin fee).
