Boston Stock Exchange (NASDAQ BX)

Formerly the Boston Stock Exchange (BSE), the NASDAQ BX resulted from NASDAQ’s acquisition of the BSE in 2007. It began trading as such in 2009. The Boston Stock Exchange is one of the oldest exchanges in the United States.

The Boston Stock Exchange works on a protected best bid and offer basis, in accordance with Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) guidelines. This exchange primarily trades securities which are listed on other regional U.S. exchanges, including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ.

Trading hours: Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET (UTC-5)
Pre-market trading hours: Monday through Friday 4:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. ET
After-market trading hours: Monday through Friday 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. ET
Settlement cycle: T+3
