Montevideo Stock Exchange (BVM)

The Bolsa de Valores de Montevideo (BVM) is Uruguay’s main stock exchange and can trace its roots back to 1867. It operates electronically using the SIBE electronic trading system developed by the Madrid Stock Exchange and is a member of the Federación Iberoamericana de Bolsas (FIAB).

Around 40 financial services providers participate in the BVM and a similar number of issuers list their stocks on the exchange.

Trading hours (electronic): Monday to Friday 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. UYT (UTC-3)
Trading hours (open outcry): Monday to Friday 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. UYT
Settlement cycle: T+1 (local securities), T+3 (international securities)
