National Stock Exchange of India

The National Stock Exchange of India is one of two major Indian stock exchanges (along with the Bombay Stock Exchange). The exchange has offices in Mumbai, Chennai, Ahmadabad, Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata, and operates electronically using its own National Exchange for Automated Trading (NEAT) system. More than 1300 securities titles are listed on the exchange.

Contracts traded on the exchange include stocks, mutual funds, exchange traded funds (ETFs), equity and currency derivatives, bond futures, debt, corporate bonds and government securities.

Exchange performance is tracked by the NIFTY 50 index.

Trading hours: Monday through Friday 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. IST (UTC+5:30)
Settlement cycle: T+2
