Pre-Existing Condition

A pre-existing condition is a condition – health or otherwise – which exists before a relevant insurance policy is taken out.

If you have pre-existing health conditions, for example, your applications for life insurance or supplementary health insurance may be rejected by insurance providers. In cases were insurance policies are granted, they may make specific exclusions for your pre-existing conditions.

Insurance applicants are required to list all pre-existing conditions truthfully as requested by insurance providers. Failure to declare pre-existing conditions can lead to the loss of insurance coverage or benefits.
