S&P/ASX 200

The S&P/ASX 200 index published by rating agency Standard & Poor’s tracks the performance 200 key stocks listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), and is the exchange’s primary index. It is one of the most important index tracking the Australian stock market.

Stocks tracked by the S&P/ASX 200 index are selected based on their float-adjusted market capitalization.

Another important Australian stock index is the Australian Stock Exchange All Ordinaries Index (AS30), which tracks the performance of 300 companies listed on the ASX.
