In 1975, the company known as Swiss Bankers Travelers Cheque Center was founded by Switzerland's banks. In 2008, Swiss Bankers became a joint stock company known as Swiss Bankers Prepaid Services.
The shareholders are: Association of Swiss Cantonal Banks, Credit Suisse, PostFinance, Entris Banking and Raiffeisen Schweiz Genossenschaft.
