Vaudoise Takes Over Animalia

March 24, 2016 - Benjamin Manz

Swiss insurance company Vaudoise is adding pet insurance provider Animalia SA to its portfolio, taking over from Animalia’s previous owner, insurance provider Assura.

Since 2002, Animalia has provided dog and cat insurance policies covering all types of accidents and health problems. Assura, on the other hand, wants to focus on human health insurance.

Vaudoise is expanding its already broad range of insurance offers through the Animalia takeover. As well as insurance coverage for animals, Vaudoise also offers insurance for cars, motorcycles and other vehicles, as well as household, liability, life and business insurance.

Vaudoise is well known in Switzerland as a car insurance provider, but is expanding its insurance portfolio to position itself as a one-stop insurance provider.

The takeover does not affect Animalia’s pet insurance policies or policyholders in any way.
