Alternative Investment Market (AIM)

The Alternative Investment Market (AIM) is a secondary stock exchange operated by the London Stock Exchange Group. AIM primarily lists small and growing companies seeking to raise funding, while large, established companies are listed on the London Stock Exchange.

With around 3000 companies – 500 of them domiciled outside of the United Kingdom – having listed their stocks on AIM since it was established in 1995, this exchange is one of the largest of its kind. More than 1200 brokers participate in the exchange.

The FTSE AIM All-Share index tracks combined stock performance. FTSE AIM 100 tracks the performance of 100 key stocks listed on the AIM.
