Hi there,

Requirements can vary between banks, but these documents are typically required for mortgage applications:

  • Your most recent annual salary statement.
  • A copy of your most recent tax returns.
  • A new debt collection register statement from your municipal debt collection office.
  • A statement from the property register (Grundbuch) not older than 6 months old.
  • A copy of the property purchase agreement.
  • A copy of the property's cadastral plan.
  • A copy of the property's buildings insurance policy.
  • A copy of the property's architectural plan.
  • Photographs of the property.
  • A copy of the property's architectural description.
  • A copy of the property's sales documentation.

Other documents which are required in certain cases include:

  • Pillar 3a account statements (primarily if you will use pillar 3a assets for home financing).
  • Your most recent occupational pension fund statement (primarily if you will use pillar 2 benefits for home financing).
  • A copy of your occupational pension fund's terms and conditions (primarily if you will use pillar 2 benefits for home financing).
  • A copy of the property's leasehold agreement (if the property in question is a leasehold).

Best regards
