Does normal Swiss health insurance cover homeopathic treatments or do I need to get special insurance for this?

Certain homeopathic treatments are covered by compulsory Swiss health insurance if they are prescribed by a medical doctor.

A number of supplementary health insurance policies cover homeopathic treatments without the need for a prescription from a medical doctor, which gives you more freedom to visit specialists as you see fit. Just select the "Alternative medicine" filter in the interactive moneyland.ch supplemental health insurance comparison to limit results to policies which provide coverage for alternative medicine.
