I work fulltime (100%) at a day job. At the moment I need money more than I need time off, so I am considering working an evening job for around 4 hours per day on top of my day job.

Am I legally allowed to work 150% or are there laws limiting the amount of time I can spend working for employers?

Hi there,

In Switzerland, work hours are limited to a maximum of 45 or 50 hours per week depending on the sector you work in. A minimum of 11 hours of time off every day is also required. A limited amount of overtime is acceptable in certain cases, but only on a temporary basis. You are free to work for two employers as long as your work hours do not exceed the legal maximum.
