Hi to all.

Greetings,
Most Swiss banks offer special student accounts for young people and people who are completing their education.
Special offers for students may include private accounts, savings accounts, prepaid cards, credit cards (Visa and Mastercard) and debit cards (Maestro, PostFinance, V-Pay). Some banks even bundle services in special package deals for students.
The bank account comparisons on moneyland.ch automatically limit results to accounts that are available to students when you answer "Yes" to the "Are you currently studying?" option.

My son is going to study in Switzerland for a 6 month exhange program in Bern. He is a Belgian citizen and would like to open a Swiss bank account for day to day use, paying of rent, payment by card, payment by app, ... Which bank, account do you advise? Minimal cost, ease of use, ... Many thanks!
Hi there
The most affordable option for adults is the mobile banking app Neon. A Swiss residence is a prerequisite.
However, there are even cheaper extra offers for students - even at classic Swiss banks. Simply use the private account comparison on moneyland.ch and answer "Yes" to the question "Are you currently studying?" on the entry page. Then you will automatically be shown the most favorable student accounts.
