Someone stole the battery off my e-bike. Needless to say I had a tiring ride home. But here is the question: does my Swiss household insurance cover the cost of replacing the battery?

Theft which occurs outside of your home is not covered by basic Swiss household insurance. However, if your policy includes the optional "simple theft away from home" rider then you can claim compensation from your household insurance provider.
