My boss decided to work with a pension fund which has lower fees, but none of us are happy about it. Up until now we were covered by a local pension fund here in our town where we actually know the people who work there and trust them. The big corporate style pension fund that our boss wants to go with seems poised to blow at the next recession and take our pensions with it.

Can we file a complaint or take legal action to stop our boss from moving to another pension fund?

Hi there,

As a general rule, a majortiy of employee representatives or (in smaller companies) employees must vote in favor of a move to another pension fund before such a move can be made.
