Due to some major gaps in my social security contributions over the years, my pension does not come near covering my cost of living. I am dependent on supplementary old age benefits from social security.

Recently I have been thinking of leaving Switzerland and returning to my home country which is in the EU. Can I continue receiving supplementary old age benefits after I move?

No. When you relocate outside of Switzerland, you forfeit your right to receive supplementary old age benefits. This applies both to Swiss citizens and to foreign residents. The country you move to does not play a role.
