Hi there,
Your buildings insurance (compulsory in most cantons) normally covers solar power installations against certain hazards, including fire, theft and damage caused by the elements. Glass can be covered by optional structural glass insurance.
If you want to insure your solar installation against additional damages or insure the cost of buying electricity or not being able to sell electricity if your solar panels are damaged, you can do this by taking out specialized solar power insurance.
