I want to move to a cheaper mandatory health insurance policy without losing my extra health insurance policies. When i signed up, the insurance representative told me that I can only get the optional policies if I get the madatory policy from them. Does that mean I will lose the optional policies if I cancel the mandatory policy?

Hi there,

You have every right to keep your supplemental insurance policies at your current provider after you move to another compulsory health insurance provider. Your insurance provider cannot make you cancel your supplemental policies. You may lose out on multiple-policy discounts.
