I am expecting my first child in the fall. I want to know whether I can claim unpaid maternity leave in addition to my paid maternity leave. I can afford it, and would rather spend more time with my baby if possible. Do you have any information about unpaid maternity leave?

Unpaid maternity leave is not a right. Your employment contract takes precedence. However, you are free to ask your employer for unpaid maternity leave.
