I have a very hard time saying no to people and on more than one occassion I have signed up for some service I don't need just to be nice. Over the long term, this has cost me a lot, but I still can't say no when approached. Is it possible to cancel a contract I after I sign up?

Hi there,

If you signed up for the contract in a so-called "door to door deal" - from a salesman at your home or at a temporary stall, for example - and the value of the contract exceeds 100 Swiss francs, you can cancel the contract by sending a written cancellation request to the service provider within 7 days of singning.

Important: This does not apply to insurance contracts.

Best regards from Moneyguru
