Child support in Switzerland when parents live together

My daughter's dad and I have continued to share an apartment even though we are not together because it is difficult for me to be approved for an apartment with my low income and having a child.

I would like to claim child support from him so we can be in a better position to get our own place. He earns a good income and can easily support us. Can i claim child support even if we live together?

Whether or not you can claim child support from your child's father depends on which canton you reside in. Some cantons account for your partner's income when determining household income. If your household income is too high because your partner's income is included in the estimation, you may not be entitled to claim child support.
