Hi there,

The Viva Kids private account from Credit Suisse is available to children under the age of twelve whose parents have a Credit Suisse account.

The account has no annual account fee and pays 1% annual interest on up to 1000 francs of deposits, with 0.5% annual interest on the portion of deposits between 1000.01 and 100,000 francs. The portion in excess of 100,000 francs earns 0.01% interest per annum.

The Viva Kids private account comes as part of the Viva Kids banking package in combination with the Viva Kids savings account. It can be linked to a debit card with a 20-franc daily transaction limit and a 100-franc monthly transaction limit (limits are adjustable). It can also be linked to the Digipigi electronic piggy bank.

The debit card and Digipigi are provided free of charge when at least one parent has a Credit Suisse Bonviva banking package. Regular Credit Suisse private account holders can also take out the Viva Kids package for their children, but must pay 99 francs for the Digipigi if they want it (the Digipigi is optional).

When the child turns 12, the Viva Kids account is converted to a Viva Young private account.

Best regards from Moneyguru
