Is there a way to disable the contactless function on credit cards? The thought of one of my kids or - worse yet - a stranger getting ahold of my card and making multiple 40-franc contactless purchases disturbs me.

Hi there,

Barring some physical hacks which you can find on the Internet and try at your own risk, there is no way to disable the contactless function of credit cards.

In this way, credit cards differ from debit cards. You can have your bank disable the contactless function of your debit card if you choose to.

Make sure to store your credit card in a secure place. If possible, get a credit card which offers 0 franc liability for fraudulent transactions when your card is lost or stolen.

Best regards from Moneyguru
