After taking some time off to study, I will begin working again next month. I have two vested benefits accounts which I opened after leaving my last employer. Do I have to close these accounts when I begin working again? Can I move the money from just one of these accounts to my new pension fund and keep the other at the bank?

Hi there,

When you become employed after a period of unemployment, you are legally obligated to transfer assets from vested benefits accounts and vested benefits life insurance policies to your new pension fund.

Best regards from Moneyguru
