I applied for unemployment benefits last month and I just received a form on which I am supposed to list job applications which apparently I am supposed to be making.

I don't see how it is any of the insurance companies business whether I get a job or not. I paid premiums, now I am claiming benefits. Can they actually cut my benefits if I don't apply for jobs?

Hi there,

Actively working to become employed is generally required by the unemployment office for as long as you receive unemployment benefits. Each regional unemployment office implements this in their own way, and your skills and career may also be taken into account.
