Does the deductible of a personal liability insurance apply per damage or for total damages when you leave a rental home? I will be moving out of my rented apartment and am hoping that my personal liability insurance will cover all the damages without my having to pay a deducitble for each scratch or bump.
Hi there,
Your personal liability insurance deductible applies per incident. In the case of a departure from a rental home, the entire move should be counted as a single incident. You should not have to cover a deductible for each individual damage.
