Hi there,

The term "pet insurance" typically denotes veterinary insurance for pets. This insurance covers veterinary expenses which arise due to illness and/or accidents.

Legal liability for damages to third-party property by pets is covered by personal liability insurance. Some personal liability insurance policies also provide limited coverage for damages to third parties for which you are not legally liable - such as damage to property of friends caring for your pet temporarily.
