Are artificial insemination and other medical procedures related to assisted impregnation or fertility covered by Swiss health insurance?
Hi there,
Swiss compulsory health insurance covers the cost of fertility treatments for married couples and legal partners. Artificial insemination and hormonal fertility treatments are also covered. However, compulsory health insurance only covers up to a maximum of 3 full fertility treatment cycles. Embryo transfers and in vitro fertilization are not covered.
