How long am I legally allowed to drive a car from the UK in Switzerland? I am planning to bring my car over.

Hi gentnovo33,

If you reside in a foreign country and are only visiting Switzerland with your car as a tourist: You can drive your foreign car into Switzerland without a customs declaration and you can use it in Switzerland for a combined total of 6 months per year.

If you are moving to Switzerland, you need to declare your foreign car at a Swiss customs office upon entry. You may be able to import it on a duty-free basis as personal property.
