Hi there,

According to the Swiss consumer credit law, personal loans offered by Swiss lenders must be annuity loans rather than installment loans. That means personal loans must be amortized through a series of identical, regular repayments.

The term "installment loan" and the German "Ratenkredit" are often used to describe loans which are repaid using a series of repayments which may or may not be identical. In this sense, Swiss personal loans could be considered to be installment loans.
