Is it possible to use a mortgage from a German bank to buy a house in Germany even though I live in Switzerland?
Hi there,
A good first step would be to contact German banks near the Swiss border and inquire about mortgage solutions. Some German banks which have branch offices near the Swiss border will provide mortgages to Swiss homeowners or home buyers.
The opposite is also true: Germans have the best chances of being accepted for a Swiss mortgage at Swiss banks which operate in border regions.
