Can anyone tell me how health insurance works in Switzerland for foreign students? Must I get swiss insurance or is it also possible to be insured from a provider in another country?

Hi Anna,
Depends on how long you will be studying here. Any person residing in Switzerland for more than three months must be covered by health insurance.
Since you already have provider, you are basically covered. However, I would ask the international office at your university, just to be sure.
