How many Swiss banknotes are in circulation?

I would be interested in knowing how many Swiss franc notes are in use. Any statistics?

The last statistics released by the Swiss National Bank are based on 2015 averages. The numbers of Swiss franc banknotes in circulation are as follows:

10 Swiss franc note: 73,540,648
20 Swiss franc note: 82,737,065
50 Swiss franc note: 48,940,949
100 Swiss franc note: 111,847,533
200 Swiss franc note: 47,451,408
500 Swiss franc note (out of circulation): 213,212
1000 Swiss franc note: 41,793,251

The newest statistics (for 2023) show the following numbers of Swiss banknotes in circulation:

• 10 Swiss franc note: 82,089,388 (11.62% more than in 2015)
• 20 Swiss franc note: 101,402,373 (22.56% more than in 2015)
• 50 Swiss franc note: 73,246,201 (50% more than in 2015)
• 100 Swiss franc note: 139,271,007 (25% more than in 2015)
• 200 Swiss franc note: 83,548,924 (76% more than in 2015)
• 500 Swiss franc note (out of circulation): 180,102 (16% less than in 2015)
• 1000 Swiss franc note: 39,259,399 (6% less than in 2015)

It is interesting to note that, with exception of the 1000-franc note, the number of Swiss banknotes in circulation has gone up substantially over the past 8 years.
