Which cantons in Switzerland charge taxes on inheritances and gifts from parents to children? Which cantons do not charge inheritance and gift taxes?
Hi there,
The only cantons which charge inheritance tax for parent to child inheritances are Appenzell Innerrhoden, Neuchâtel and Vaud. Some municipalities levy separate inheritance taxes. No inheritance tax is levied on a federal level.
