Insurance deductibles in Switzerland

Hi forum,

We have never used insurance much but since moving to Switzelrand we have been looking at getting health insurance and household insurance. From what we can see there are major differences in the deductibles used. This seems to apply to all kinds of insurance. Is there some kind of guide for choosing the right deductible? How do we know which one is right for us?
