my husband and I are considering using geothermal heating for our home. Since this is a huge investment with a lot that can go wrong, I am interested in knowing how the whole geothermal heating system can be insured. Would our buildings insurance cover it?

Insurance coverage for geothermal heating installations is not normally included in basic buildings insurance. Most buildings insurance providers let you get coverage for geothermal heating installations as an optional rider on your buildings insurance policy or as a separate geothermal insurance policy.
