How can I go about investing in Bitcoin using certificates? Are there any Swiss brokers that offer Bitcoin certificates?
Hi there,
Swiss private bank Vontobel offers a certificate which tracks bitcoin prices based on an average of rates on major bitcoin exchanges. The SIX Swiss exchange lists a bitocin certificate issued by Swiss securities broker Swissquote. Swissquote invests money obtained from investors through this actively-managed certificate in both bitcoin and the U.S. dollar, in order to balance the risk posed by bitcoin's volatility.
It is possible that other Swiss banks and brokers will issue bitcoin certificates in the future.
