Hi Moneyguru,

Is there any way I can apply and get pre-approved for a loan without actually applying for the loan?

Greetings,

Many Swiss lenders only showcase a range of interest rates (minimum rate - maximum rate). The exact rate which you will get, if you are approved at all, lies anywhere within that spectrum.

Before a lender can tell you whether you qualify for a loan or which rate will be used, they need to know whether you are a secure investment. They determine this based on your income, expenses, employment status, residence status, age and creditworthiness, among other factors.

Lenders will not usually check your ZEK credit record unless you apply for a loan. Without checking your record, they cannot tell you for certain whether or not you can get a loan and what interest rate you can get. However, some lenders may be willing to give you an estimate of what interest rate you will pay based on other criteria ahead of your making an application. Contact the lender of your choice directly to find out if they are willing to provide an unbinding quote.

Best regards from Moneyguru
