Is there a way to get loans in Switzerland without involving a bank? Are there any lenders that are not banks?

There are a number of lenders like Bob Finance, enyFinance and Creditgate24 which are not banks in the fulls sense of the term and do not work with conventional banks either. Getting a loan online is a discreet way to get a loan without having to visit a bank branch (though you may still need a bank account to receive the loan).
Migros Bank offers a cheaper loan to online borrowers than it does to borrowers who get loans at branch offices.
There are also numerous loan brokers which do not actually lend you money themselves but simply provide loans from banks.
