Apparently the fees for the Coop Supercard Plus credit card changed recently. Exactly which fees changed? Is the card more expensive to use now?
Hi there,
Swisscard AECS, which issues the Coop Supercardplus, announced that it was changing the card's fee schedule in July this year. The new fees took effect on October 1, 2017.
The fee changes are as follows:
1. The annual interest rate was increased to 11.95% (from the previous 9.9%).
2. Paper card statements now cost 1.95 Swiss francs per statement (previously 1.50 francs per statement). You can opt out to stop receiving paper statements. Electronic statements are free of charge.
3. Late payment notices cost 30 francs (previously 20 francs).
Verdict:
Swisscard has raised some of the fees of the Coop Supercardplus to match those of the Migros Cumulus Mastercard issued by Cembra Money Bank. Cardholders who make their payments on time and forgo paper statements will not notice the change in fees. The card still has no annual fee.
