Has the decision by insurance giant AXA to stop requiring deposits from renters of its properties had any repercussions on the rest of the rental housing market?

Is there a visible trend towards phasing out deposits on home rentals? Can we expect to see rental deposit accounts and insurances disappear in the foreseeable future?

Hi there,

So far, there has not been a major trend towards the phasing out of rental deposit requirements. However, rental deposit insurance has been offered in Switzerland for some time. This insurance replaces the need for a deposit, and is accepted by many rental property owners.

You can use the rental deposit insurance comparison to compare policies and save money on premiums.
